While operating our units is not difficult, we recommend staff be trained prior to use. Training will include instruction around safety measures and operation. PURO offers ongoing training and support for any new staff members or as needed for all projects sold.

People and animals should not be exposed to broad spectrum UV (pulsed-Xenon) or some potentially harmful wavelength of UV-C (mercury vapor technology or UV-LED). We have designed our products with multiple levels of redundancy to ensure pathogens are inactivated, and people remain safe at all times. Our 222nm Far-UVC products, however, are able to be operated continually while people are present in the space. 

Our PURONet UV Disinfection system has multiple levels of redundancy to ensure the entire system will stop operating if someone walks in the room. This motion and/or emergency stop data is all recorded in the control system so your team will know exactly how long the system operated when it was interrupted. If you have our PURONet Cloud option, alerts can be setup to know when cycles were not completed.

We recommend you never look directly at any UV lighting devices or other bright lights. However, as most types of glass absorb or reflect UV light, you can stand outside the window and not be exposed to UV rays emitted by the unit.

Our 222nm, Far UV-C Systems and our PURO Air products will run throughout the day, reducing pathogens throughout this time. 

Our PURONet UV Disinfection System can be operated whenever the space is unoccupied for more than a few minutes. Some healthcare providers operate the system for a few minutes between cases, while others only operate their systems at night.

We try to turn most large, custom projects around in as little as 4-6 weeks. Some of our products, such as in-room disinfection devices, are typically able to ship within 3-5 business days.
