How do I know if PURO UV lighting disinfection products fit our company or industry needs?
Our products are intended to be used in places wherever people gather. Among many industries, our UV Disinfection products work perfectly in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, cruise ships, grocery stores, restaurants, food service industries, large and small retail shops, hotels, mass transit, commercial office spaces, and more. Which viruses, bacteria, and pathogens do PURO Lighting products kill?
Independent clinical testing confirms PURO Lighting have strong efficacy against viruses, bacteria, and fungal pathogens. Our UV disinfection products have been proven to rapidly inactivate up to 99.9% of SARS-CoV-2, Norovirus, C. diff, E. coli, Salmonella, MRSA, and C. auris. For a full overview of our clinical data and claims, please reach out to our team (Contact Us).
Do we need to have special staff training to use your UV disinfection lighting?
While operating our units is not difficult, we recommend staff be trained prior to use. Training will include instruction around safety measures and operation. PURO offers ongoing training and support for any new staff members or as needed for all projects sold.
Is your product harmful to people or animals?
People and animals should not be exposed to broad spectrum UV (pulsed-Xenon) or some potentially harmful wavelength of UV-C (mercury vapor technology or UV-LED). We have designed our products with multiple levels of redundancy to ensure pathogens are inactivated, and people remain safe at all times. Our 222nm Far-UVC products, however, are able to be operated continually while people are present in the space.
What happens if someone walks into the area during the disinfection process when using your PURONet UV Disinfection System?
Our PURONet UV Disinfection system has multiple levels of redundancy to ensure the entire system will stop operating if someone walks in the room. This motion and/or emergency stop data is all recorded in the control system so your team will know exactly how long the system operated when it was interrupted. If you have our PURONet Cloud option, alerts can be setup to know when cycles were not completed.
Can I look directly at the disinfection light through a window?
We recommend you never look directly at any UV lighting devices or other bright lights. However, as most types of glass absorb or reflect UV light, you can stand outside the window and not be exposed to UV rays emitted by the unit.
When and for how long should I use our UV systems?
Our 222nm, Far UV-C Systems and our PURO Air products will run throughout the day, reducing pathogens throughout this time.
Our PURONet UV Disinfection System can be operated whenever the space is unoccupied for more than a few minutes. Some healthcare providers operate the system for a few minutes between cases, while others only operate their systems at night.
How fast can we get delivery of your PURO products?
We try to turn most large, custom projects around in as little as 4-6 weeks. Some of our products, such as in-room disinfection devices, are typically able to ship within 3-5 business days. This lead time is subject to change. Please reach out to your PURO Lighting Representative or to us directly.
